Welcome to the Hot List! A monthly column from fashion sourcer extraordinaire Gab Waller. As a professional personal shopper to some of the best-dressed girls—she gets about 100 requests a day to track down hard-to-find wares!—Waller spends her days sourcing the most in-demand fashion and accessories. Each month, and exclusively for Vogue, she’ll deliver a cheat sheet of all the pieces she recommends you scoop up before it’s too late and the most dreaded three words in online shopping (“out of stock”) appear. “This is a world in which I live and breathe,” Waller says. “I get to be a ‘fashion detective’ day in and day out, and I have eyes and ears all over the globe.” Let the fashion snooping begin!

What a month! It oddly feels like it has been a very long time since I wrote my last column a month ago. A lot has happened over the past few weeks: fashion month came to a close, I shared the announcement of Sourced By, squeezed in (another!) quick trip to New York, and commenced preparations for the busy holiday season ahead.

In the sourcing world, there is one particular colorway and texture that has dominated my requests over the past month: chocolate brown suede. I’m seeing it everywhere, and my clients can’t get enough of it. From loafers to the perfect jacket, and of course, handbags. It is the most requested color and texture at present, I don’t see that slowing down anytime soon.

Other categories and textures that I don’t see slowing down any time soon include, but are never limited to, bag charms (this one from Coach was a popular request this past month!), corduroy, barn jackets, and the highly-favored Loewe x On Cloudtilt sneakers. A quick PSA to advise they have been restocked and I would strongly recommend running to secure your size.

Without further ado, let’s jump into this month's list.

We know by now one of my favorite ways to gauge interest on a style that catches my attention is via our Instagram stories, and the moment I posted these loafers, requests were instant. We’ve all come to know and love the classic Saint Laurent loafer, but with the introduction of chocolate suede this season, it proved to me that this is a must-have.

A highly requested jacket style at present, that has been popular for well over a month now. The barn jacket is in my opinion the must-have style of the season. This version by Prada ticks all the right boxes—you may have seen I sourced it right in time for Ramya Giangola for Paris Fashion Week.

I’m always filled with excitement to see what shoe styles Saint Laurent releases every season. There is always at least one that I’m bound to receive requests for, and my attention has quickly been captured by their newest Orhand Peep Toe Pumps. Produced in multiple colorways, I’m not surprised to already be seeing low in stock notifications.

Sprwmn is a relatively new discovery of mine, but one I am very happy to now have on my radar and to personally own various pieces of. Luxurious styles crafted of exceptional materials, including in (you perhaps guessed it!), suede. Spotted on and worn by Courteney Cox, Malin Akerman, and Michelle Monaghan, it’s a celebrity favorite and I can only see that list growing.

Including the cargo pants from Sprwmn was a must, but also including their matching bomber jacket was an absolute necessity. This is the look I want to be wearing all fall long.

There is quite a bit of corduroy in this month’s list, but the data truly doesn’t lie, this is one of the most requested textures at present. I love Magda Butrym’s take on it with these brown corduroy shorts.

My first sourcing request for these charms came through exactly 21 days ago, when a client used a reference image from the Coach runway where the charms were displayed on one of their runway styles. Coach requests are going strong, I received a record number of requests for their XXL coin pouch clutch bag that walked the spring/summer 2025 runway.

Having just sourced these for one of my celebrity clients, they have immediately been placed on my one-to-watch radar. Perhaps not surprisingly, they are already showing low stock and sold out across multiple websites. If you spot your size, now is the time to jump on it.

GUCCI

One of the It bags of the season. A very big call to make, but the requests are flowing in and not slowing down. In the past 24 hours alone, I was offered one in the chocolate suede and posted on our Instagram stories, it sold in under 5 minutes! It was produced in a number of colorways (the chocolate suede being the most requested), but I have linked it in black which is very surprisingly, still available!

Jennifer Fisher can truly do no wrong. Every single collection continues to get better and better. A celebrity-loved brand that has a multitude of styles to suit all, my top pick of the season is its newest Puffy Dagger earrings. A statement earring is essential, and I can personally vouch that after seeing these on, this style is it! An easy add-to-cart moment.

I’m nervous as I type this that this will sell out prior to this article going live, but for now, one lucky person can snap up the last quantity left in this newest corduroy style from Miu Miu. That is the power of the Miu Miu effect: blink and it’s gone.

Australian favorite Christopher Esber continues to be a highly coveted brand, from the ready-to-wear to the shoes, and now with bags. Say hello to the newest design—the Arke. A new Australian brand that immediately went on my radar is Deering. Rooted in a joyful celebration of everyday dressing, its pieces are designed to be worn and styled everyday, for any occasion. When I posted the preview on my stories, there was a lot of excitement about these pants. If there is one item we all need for the fall season ahead, it is an excellent pair of red pants.

A very important PSA to say the highly coveted Loewe x On Cloudtilt sneakers have been restocked. If that alone wasn’t enough, they have introduced new colors (practically squealing with excitement here!). To coincide with all things fall, my top pick is the beige. Run, they won’t last long!

Demellier’s New York tote has been an It bag for a while, sported by many industry insiders. I really wanted to link the mocha suede for you all, as that has been the most requested (and naturally is currently sold out). Be sure to turn on those out-of-stock notifications, and in the interim, I would recommend snapping up any of your favorite color(s) in this style. It is such an excellent price point and quality.

If there was one runway from the SS25 shows that had everyone talking, it was Alaïa. The ready-to-wear continues to spike in demand, and sell out very quickly. I expect that to occur with this newest cardi-jacket. A couple of (lucky!) sizes are still showing as available now.

There’s a new Toteme style making gaining traction quickly: the Day leather tote bag. A curved bucket design with a tonal belt that cinches the shape, my prediction and recommendation is on the dark brown, but all colorways are equally as enticing.

Fashion month is here, I’m buzzing with excitement as I type this for all that we’re going to see throughout the month ahead. Personally, I’ve just gotten back from a quick trip to New York, where I hosted a luncheon to celebrate the launch of the new Vogue App. I’m now in full work mode and although I won’t be traveling again this season, all eyes will be on what is walking down the runway.

Speaking of the runway, I noticed one overarching theme as I was putting together this month’s list: a lot of this month’s most-wanted pieces are runway styles. These Chloé boots, which I personally own and can vouch they are the most comfortable thigh-high boots I have ever put on, dominated the fall 2024 runway. Another key style is the Loewe belted leather trimmed cotton shirt, which I’m betting strongly that this will be a sold out runway style.

In addition to that, I’m calling this a “suede fall.” We’re going to be seeing a lot of suede, in a variety of forms—from blazers to bags to miniskirts. Are you ready for it? I certainly am! Without further ado, let’s jump into this month’s list.

The thigh-high boots that I can personally vouch are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. Crafted from leather, and spotted in a multitude of looks on the fall 2024 runway, Chloé has shown that the styling options are endless. I personally tucked this skirt into mine—boho chic for the win!

Another trending style that is sure to sell out, this style features built-in shorts and and has sheer finish. It is beautifully elegant and the mauve color way is the perfect shade to transition you into fall. I spot a couple of sizes left ready to be snatched up.

Leave it up to Loewe to present to us a very unique take on the classic white button-down. Featuring a built-in leather belt at the side and gathered bubble hem, and just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, it was also produced in pink. It won’t be long before we see ‘sold out’ on this style.

While I was in New York, I popped into the Renggli event to celebrate the brand’s launch on FWRD. Morgan Stewart was wearing this exact jacket and I can say with the certainty that a) if she’s wearing it and b) it’s suede, it is guaranteed to be a sold-out style. This is the jacket of the season that we all need.

A popular style in my requests folder of late, The Row Pierrick Jacket takes influence from the traditional utility jacket. The utility jacket is in my personal opinion, the must-have item for the season ahead. I’m seeing it trending, and my sourcing requests are only increasing for them (more on that below). I wouldn’t hesitate in securing this style whilst you can.

I posted this style on our @gabwallerdotcom Instagram stories a couple of weeks ago, as part of our “Finds” series that we regularly post (we received our first request for it approximately 19 days ago). In an instant, the requests came flowing in. It is our most sourced and sold jacket style in one week, I truly mean it when I say the utility jacket is here to have its moment this season.

Every season without fail there is a shearling sandal that makes an appearance into my DMss and causes a stir. This year, my prediction is for these leather and shearling -lined sandals from Chloé. Already showing low in stock in multiple sizes, they’re not to be missed out on.

Khaite does it again, with a style that is already showing sold out across a multitude of websites (I’m certainly not surprised). It features a grid of exquisite textures (including this season’s favorite—suede!), and includes a zip-top pouch for essentials. It was produced in three different color options, but the Rouge Noir Multi Leather is the one to snap up now before it’s too late.

A bold statement to make, but this may just be the bag of the season. A style that is selling out quicker than I anticipated, it’s the perfect travel tote for any upcoming travel plans that you may have. The leather detailing on the side is the ultimate finishing touch.

Fall is upon us, and velvet is back! Ballet flats aren’t going anywhere any time soon and if you wish to bring this shoe style into the fall season, a velvet option is the way to go. If the color alone didn’t catch your eye, the heel height may do so. The Vika Knot style is a beautifully chic mule that you can grab for any and all occasions for the season ahead. Shoe styles by The Row are known to be exceptionally comfortable (and known to sell out quickly!). They get my definite tick of approval.

It caught my attention immediately, and I had to place it on my radar right away. It sold out very quickly on a particular multi-brand website, and I anticipate for sales to increase in this style in the coming weeks. I’m sure it won’t come as any surprise that the Coach Empire Carryall Bag in the Size 40 has made it into this month’s list. It is trending heavily, selling out quickly, and is (surprisingly!) available now in the Black and Maple. As a sourcing insight, the Merlot color has been my most requested.

I perhaps may be getting ahead of myself by taking inspiration from the Spring 2025 runways, but pink is ALL OVER the runways. If you wish to be a few steps ahead of the upcoming trending color 2025 color, my recommendation is to secure your pink pieces now. This style by Alaïa, who I will add was the talk of NYFW, is my top pick. A unique and beautiful twist on a classic sweater.

If you’re looking for the perfect pair of suede ankle boots this season, look no further than Jimmy Choo. Not only are they one of the most comfortable shoes in the market (a bold but true statement to make), they are timeless and versatile—you can wear them for many years to come. The Alizee is my favorite for the fall season, and it’s already showing low stock.

Proenza Schouler’s NYFW spring 2025 runway show was everything I imagined it to be. Chic, elegant, timeless—the list goes on! Post show, I did a deep dive into the new collection and was struck by these shearling flats. The Mary Jane style continues to trend, and I love the introduction of a shearling style for this season. We better be quick, they have (already!) almost sold out.

I’m finishing with one more Chloé piece, it really is the brand that has captivated the fall 2024 season (the runway was one of my most memorable). Styled with multiple looks on the runway, the cone-shaped heels are inspired by the house’s ‘70s archives. A treasured piece, ready to be secured now.

I can’t believe I’m typing these words, but I’m very much ready for fall and the cooler weather to come our way. That’s a bold statement to make, considering how much I love summer and thrive being in the sun. There is something about the fall season that makes me feel an extra sense of excitement. Perhaps it’s the richer colors we tend to see at this time of the year, or the reintroduction of textures such as suede and shearling in our wardrobes. Either way, fall is right around the corner, and I’m ready for it.

This month, my focus is on exactly that. We’re gradually waving goodbye to raffia for another year, as we prepare our wardrobes for the fall season ahead. My DMs are seeing the shift as well, and I feel this is the perfect time to make a special mention of Miu Miu, who are absolutely dominating my sourcing requests right now. I’ve included a few of their new season pieces this month, which I anticipate will sell out.

Without further ado, let's jump into it for this month’s list.

This may or may not come as a surprise, but the Longchamp Le Pliage Original Mini Pouch has been a regular in my sourcing requests over the years. Their limited colorways often sell out, and most recently, this week I sourced their sold out limited red colorway. For the season ahead, my bet is on their burgundy color being the most popular.

Incoming in three new colorways are everyone’s favorite Dries Van Noten sneakers. As I type this, I’m slightly concerned how quickly these will sell. My favorite is the new dark green, but the all black leather is equally as great. These won’t last long!

Fall is the time to pull out your corduroy pieces, and this new style by The Row has my vote on being a key piece for the season ahead. Miu Miu handbags continue to skyrocket in demand, they keep my DM’s very busy month after month, and my focus right now is on their newest suede top handle bag. I posted these on our IG stories this week and as it goes with all new Alaïa ballet flat releases, they were an immediate hit. This is the first time they have produced this style in this beautifully luxe croc embossed finish. I feel very confident in saying they will be a globally sold-out style.

ALAÏA

As much as I tried to narrow it down to one, I had to include a second Alaïa shoe styles in this month’s list. The interest has been even for both. A few sizes are available to snap up now.

Victoria Beckham makes it in again into this month’s list, this time with its newest V-neck midi dress. Elegant, chic, sophisticated are all words that jump to mind when I glance at this dress.
